Activities
Cookouts, bingo, music, movies...
Dictionaries for Grade Schools
Once a year, we purchase and distribute hardcopy dictionaries to elementary school students.
Environment
Each month we patrol Kailua Beach to pick up trash.  We have volunteered to assist the Genki Ala Wai Project.  We volunteer to help care for our native forest at Hamakua Marsh State Wildlife Sanctuary.
Flag Day & Veteran Services
We Elks invented Flag Day and we celebrate it each year on 14 June.  We visit local veterans and help them transition back to civilian life and cope with disabilities.
Potluck
Organize potluck dinners at our lodge.
Hoop Shoot
Every November, we invite kids to compete in The Elks National Hoop Shoot.  We need volunteers to manage the competition.
High School Toastmasters
We help Oahu high schools start public speaking clubs.  We teach the kids how to teach each other to become more effective communicators.  Our first Gavel Club is at Kailua High School. The students named their club "Leo o mana" which is Hawaiian for "Voice of Power".
Canoe for Veterans
We organize 6-man outrigger canoe activities for the military families stationed at the US Marine base in Kaneohe.
